Experience the dazzling spectacle of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! This beloved Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical bursts to life with vibrant songs, energetic dancing, and a kaleidoscope of color as it retells the biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. From joyous country hoedowns to rock-and-roll showstoppers, this family-friendly favorite is packed with humor, heart, and unforgettable music. Join us for a fun-filled celebration of faith, forgiveness, and the power of dreams in this high-energy production that will leave audiences singing all the way home!
Must be 16+ years old to audition.
Auditions will be held between January 8-17.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will take place April 12 - June 4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (6-10pm), and Sundays (3-10pm) There are additional evening rehearsals during tech week.
Most rehearsals take place at Lancaster Alliance Church.
PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Performances will include featured weekends of performances at sit-down venues as well as touring across Lancaster County to retirement communities, churches, schools, and other venues from June 5 - August 16.
CASTING
Because of the busy performance schedule we are anticipating double casting or using understudies/swings to cover all of the roles. Small stipends will be available for some featured roles, ensemble roles will be volunteer.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
NARRATOR(S) – An actress with a strong rock singing voice (high belt to E, full-range Mezzo) who is strong on comedy and moves well.
JOSEPH – Tenor. The eleventh son of Jacob. His father’s favorite. Confident and charming. Vocally strong.
JACOB – Joseph’s father. An actor in his 50s/60s with a baritone voice.
JOSEPH’S BROTHERS – Eleven brothers with strong singing voices, the ability to dance, and contrasting body types and ethnicities. Requires featured solo brothers for Country and Western style in “One More Angel in Heaven,” Jacques Brel/Maurice Chevalier style for “Canaan Days,” two brothers to double the BUTLER and BAKER, and a strong dancer with partnering ability (Adagio) in “The Apache.”

POTIPHAR – A Noel Coward-type character. Baritone. Can be played by the actor playing JACOB.
MRS. POTIPHAR – Alto/Mezzo
PHARAOH – Good actor/singer with Tenor/Baritone range. Elvis Presley impersonator type who moves well.
BUTLER – Tenor/Baritone, played by a brother. Character role with a look that contrasts with the BAKER.
BAKER – Tenor/Baritone, played by a brother. Character role with a look that contrasts with the BUTLER.
