Meet Earl

Earl Grove has worked on theatre projects around the world. He has served as a producer, director, artistic director, and music producer. Grove completed a 23-year tenure at Sight and Sound Theatres, which produces multi-million dollar productions for one million + patrons per year. He was called “one of the four pillars on which the organization was built” by the company’s founder/owner Glenn Eshelman. Grove held many senior level positions at Sight and Sound, including artistic director. His director credits there include: Miracle of Christmas, Noah, (which he co-wrote and co-designed,) Behold the Lamb, Joseph, and Colors of Praise, (which he co-wrote and co-produced.) As their casting director he traveled nationwide to audition new talent. He also produced over ten show soundtracks, working with top composers, Nashville and Los Angeles musicians, and the Prague orchestra. Grove was also influential in opening and establishing Sight and Sound’s Branson, MO Theater; he served as the venue’s primary director.

Prior to his work at Sight and Sound, Grove produced and directed shows at Hersheypark. His responsibilities there included overseeing all of the live resident and contracted shows, and writing and producing the Park’s first children’s musical. Grove also co-wrote, co-produced, and directed an original show for The Hershey Trolley Works in Hershey, PA, which has run for over 20 years. Other past work in theatre includes Broadway touring shows such as 42nd Street, Cats, and Ain’t Misbehavin’. Grove toured nationally on the staff of Ice Capades. In 2013, Grove found himself in Jackson, Wyoming to direct and help produce an all- original Broadway-style musical called South Pass. With a budget of over $1 million, this show is still in development, and the producer is working to bring it to additional venues. Grove also co-produced and directed a new touring show for comedian Yakov Smirnoff. Grove consults with professional theatres, colleges, churches, street theatres and dinner theatres. He is currently involved in speaking engagements, master classes and college- level teaching. He is also contributing an essay on auditioning to a book that is to be published later this year on theatre and faith. Theater has been Earl’s life and he has dedicated his work to The Glory of The Lord... for with Him ... NOTHING is impossible!
