Swing! is licensed from Concord Theatricals
It shattered ethnic and cultural barriers, generating specialty styles such as Jive, Swing, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, and Hip-Hop Swing. SWING! celebrates this remarkable diversity to the beat of the most exhilarating songs of the period. But as this enthralling song-and-dance show makes abundantly clear, swing was never a time or place -- it has always been a state of mind! Swing! combines high energy dancing, singing and acrobatics. There is no dialogue in the show, and the story is told entirely through music and dance. The show tries to recreate the swing style of jazz, which used large bands, fixed musical arrangements and solo-driven improvisations.
Seeking strong featured singers, featured dancers, and featured singer/dancers, as well as a small swing dancing ensemble
Must be 14+ years old to audition

Please sign-up for an audition (January 10-25, 2025). Dancers and Singer/Dancers should plan to attend the dance call as well
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals will take place April 8-June 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (6-10pm), and Sundays (3-10pm) There are additional evening rehearsals during tech week.
Most rehearsals take place at Lancaster Alliance Church.
Performance Schedule
Performances will be touring across Lancaster County to parks, retirement communities, schools, and other venues from June 6-August 10.
Casting
Because of the busy performance schedule we are anticipating double casting all of the roles, and also casting additional swings to cover multiple roles.
