LITTLE WOMEN: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL is a stage adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's beloved novel, which follows the lives of the four March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate personal growth, family bonds, love, and loss during the Civil War era. With music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and a book by Allan Knee, the musical highlights the strength, ambition, and creativity of the sisters, particularly Jo, the aspiring writer. It combines heartwarming moments with an uplifting score, capturing the timeless themes of resilience, hope, and the pursuit of dreams.

Hear from some of the cast about what makes the story so special.

Parental Advisory:

If this were a film it would probably be rated PG.
Death/Violence: References to death and war, and the loss of a family member. Some sword fighting and a fake death in a playful, imaginative “make believe” scene.
Adult Behavior: A few brief onstage kisses.
Language: Use of the word “hell” in the phrase “to hell with society.”

All shows are Pay-What-You-Will in keeping with Servant Stage's mission to make exceptional performances accessible to everyone.
