Step into the spotlight and explore the wild world of history’s most revered playwright, William Shakespeare! In this masterclass with Sierra Naomi, students will uncover the secrets of the Bard's unique performance style, dive into the rowdy, exciting realm of Elizabethan theatre, and discover how Shakespeare's genius still shapes modern theatre, performance, and language. Through a combination of lecture, discussion, and on-your-feet work, students will learn to appreciate Shakespeare’s timeless genius and experience what it would’ve been like to be a star of the Elizabethan stage!

Sierra Naomi is an actor, singer, director, and teaching artist who has graced stages from New York to California. After many years in Chicago and NYC, she is now proud to call Lancaster home. Most recently, she closed the national tour of COME FROM AWAY as a Standby. Locally, you may have seen her on stage at The Fulton Theatre, Prima Theatre, and right here at Servant Stage. Favorite roles include LES MISERABLES (Fantine), SWEENEY TODD (Mrs. Lovett), PARADE (Lucille Frank), TITANIC (Marion Thayer), and Queen Sigrid Hallbourne in the television series KING’S BLADE. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Chicago College of Performing Arts as well as a certificate from the Conservatory at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. As a director, Servant Stage audiences may recognize her work on the 2025 production of MOANA JR or the 2026 productions of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE JR and BYE BYE BIRDIE YOUTH EDITION. In addition to her performance and directing work, Sierra is passionate about supporting the next generation of young artists.
