Class Description

Auditions can feel so complicated! Come spend an evening with John working on audition preparation so you can walk into you next audition with confidence. We will spend time focusing on the entering the room, exiting the room, body language, and confidence builders as well as the audition material itself. Students should come prepared with a monologue or 16-32 bars of a song with a track. Let's strengthen the tools you have to show the audition panel your best self!

John Allen Biles is a professional stage actor and a member of Actors’ Equity Association. Over his 20+ year career, he appeared Off-Broadway and regionally. Selected credits: 1776 (Pittsburgh Public Theater); Gypsy (North Shore Music Theater); CabaretThe Full Monty, Boy Gets Girl (Montgomery Theater); Opa! (QTIP); RagtimeThe ProducersSingin’ in the RainBig River, Aladdin (Peach State Summer Theater); Peter Pan, Children of Eden (Pittsburgh Musical Theater); The Last Five Years (The Company of Pittsburgh). He performed with five touring productions of the award-winning theater for young audiences company, Theatreworks USA (A Christmas CarolFootprints on the Moon, The Mystery of King TutThe Midnight Ride of Paul Revere). He is the current director of musical theater at Solanco High School (SeussicalThe Secret GardenGuys and Dolls, Godspell), and is the advisor to SHS Drama Troupe #1004. He directed plays at SHS from 2017 – 2021 (Our TownThe Imaginary InvalidRosencrantz and Guildenstern Are DeadRadium GirlsPeter and the Starcatcher). BFA Theater, Point Park University.
