October 2 | STAGE COMBAT with Kiara Feliciano

Class Description

6:00-7:00pm - Funny Fighting

While fights can be dramatic, there’s no shortage of funny fight scenes. Students will learn how to sell a believable fight that can be shocking and hilarious through vocal shifts and timing. Some material to be covered will be slaps, kicks, and punches.

7:15-8:15pm - Fight To The Death

In this class for a bit more advanced stage combat, Kiara will show you how to perform violent scenes that typically end in death. You will learn how to put the acting back into the choreography for a dramatically effective scene.

meet KIARA

Kiara Feliciano graduated from the University of Houston with a MFA in Acting. Professional credits include: Silvia in Two Gentlemen of Verona and Lady Percy in Henry IV Part 1 at the Houston Shakespeare Festival, Vanda in Venus in Fur at Mountainside Theatre, Miss Ritter in Parfumerie at the Palisades Theatre (Los Angeles,) a swing in Kaiser Permanente's Educational theatre touring southern California, and many more. Apart from acting in theatre across the country, Kiara is also an educator, director, and fight and intimacy choreographer. With recommended passes from the SAFD, Kiara is proficient in the following weapons: unarmed, rapier and dagger, and knife. She also has years of training in Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai Kickboxing. Directing credits include Twelfth Night, Woodstock 2022: Come Together, The Little Mermaid, and Dracula. Currently, Kiara can be seen playing Tzipporah, wife to the title character in MOSES at Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA.
