When you hear the word Christmas, what do you think of? Children? The Nativity? Family around the dinner table? Or maybe it’s stress? Bills? Endless parties? Way too many cookies? Wally Calderon, artistic director of Servant Stage, understands.“Christmas means something different to everybody,” he says. “And we wanted to reach everybody.”

“Servant Stage Company (SSC) will present the Broadway classic "My Fair Lady" at Millersville University's Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center, 60 W. Cottage Ave., Millersville, on select dates from Friday, May 31, through Saturday, June 15.
Lerner and Loewe's award-winning story of a Cockney flower seller transformed into an elegant lady is widely considered one of the greatest musicals of all time. When Professor Henry Higgins tries to teach Eliza Doolittle how to speak like a proper lady, an unlikely friendship begins to flourish. Notable songs from the musical include "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly," and "On the Street Where You Live."
Franklin & Marshall College theater production manager Bonnie Bosso is once again serving as the director; she previously directed "Sherlock Holmes" for SSC. Kendra Bigley is the musical director. Bigley won a Broadway World award for her musical direction of SSC's recent production of "Titanic." The two directors are excited to be working on this latest show..”

“Servant Stage Company and Lancaster Bible College (LBC) are partnering to present the Broadway musical Titanic the last two weekends of September on stage at Lancaster Bible College.
“We’ve never done something as big as this and are excited to tackle such an epic production!” said Servant Stage executive director, Johnathan Bauer. “Titanic swept the Tony Awards when it came out 20 years ago, including best musical, best book, and best score, but because it’s such a massive undertaking, it’s not frequently done and a lot of people are not familiar with it. We’re thrilled to be able to share it with the Lancaster community!”…
"Wally Calderon, artistic director with Servant Stage Company, admits that there is an element of preconception in staging "Titanic," the 1997 musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone. "There is no surprise ending," said Calderon of the musical that has been on his shortlist of shows for some time.
Calderon loves the show because of its "character-driven depiction" of the historical events and the stories it tells that draw audience members into the story. "(Audience members grow) attached to the historical figures involved," said Calderon. "That's the magic of the show ... the power of the story…”

”Riley Shroyer is an eighth grader from Lititz. She has been performing at both the Dutch Apple and American Music Theaters since age eight.
“The Servant Stage instructors trust us to work hard and teach us the show in a fun way,” says Riley. “We all work together.”
“Into The Woods Jr.” is her second Servant Stage Camp this summer. She played the Bird Girl in “Seussical Jr.” earlier in the summer. The young actor is really interested in a theater career and had a chance to audition recently for “School of Rock” on Broadway…”

An "Into the Woods Jr." camp will be offered from Monday, July 9, to Wednesday, July 18. The show is an adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical, which weaves together classic Brothers Grimm tales…”

"Servant Stage Company will present "The Marvelous Wonderettes" on Fridays through Sundays, Feb. 16 to March 4, at Emerald Foundation Community Campus, 2120 Oregon Pike, Lancaster. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays, at 3 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and 3 p.m. on Sundays.
The show is about four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts, with the story sharing about love, friendship, humor, and what happens when best friends drift apart over 10 years. The show will feature more than 20 chart-topping hits of the 1950s and 1960s...."
