You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a charming musical comedy based on the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz that explores the themes of friendship, self-doubt, happiness, growing up, and the everyday challenges of childhood. The story follows Charlie Brown and his friends as they navigate school, relationships, disappointments, and dreams while discovering that even ordinary days can be extraordinary.
Auditions will be held between January 8-17.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will take place May 30 - July 8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (6-10pm), and Sundays (3-10pm) There are additional evening rehearsals during tech week.
Most rehearsals take place at Lancaster Alliance Church.
PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Performances will take place from July 9 - August 15, touring across Lancaster County to retirement communities, churches, parks, and other venues, ending with 2 weekends of featured performances at Lancaster Alliance Church, August 5-8 and 12-15.
CASTING
Because of the busy performance schedule, we anticipate double casting each role, potentially with swings for additional coverage. All roles will be paid a stipend of $50 per performance.

Sally Brown | Female | (opt. A3) B3-Ab5 (opt. Bb5)
Charlie Brown's younger sister who is sweet and innocent but can be self- centered, skeptical, and absurdly intense.
Lucy Van Pelt | Female | G3-F5 (opt. F#5)
A bossy, crabby, self-important girl who often bullies others, especially Charlie Brown and her brother Linus, in a misguided attempt to help. Despite her tough exterior, she has moments of compassion, vulnerability, and insight.
Snoopy | Male or Female | (opt. A2) C3-A4 (opt. D5)
Charlie Brown's imaginative and lively pet beagle. Snoopy has a wild imagination, loves to daydream, and lives in his own fantasy world. Despite his quirks, heis very loyal to Charlie Brown.
Schroeder | Male | (opt. A2) Bb2-F4
A piano-playing prodigy who is obsessed with Beethoven. He is the object of Lucy's affection, although he usually ignores her advances to focus on his music.
Charlie Brown | Male | (opt. A2) Bb2-F4
The central character of the musical, Charlie Brown is an everyman. Despite being seen as a loser by his peers, he is optimistic and determined. He is kind, gentle, and has a big heart.
Linus Van Pelt | Male | (opt. A2) Bb2-E4 (opt. F#4)
Lucy's younger brother who is intelligent and philosophical despite his young age. He is almost never seen without his security blanket. He provides a lot of the show's wisdom.
