“Finding My Voice"

A note from Kylie Jo: “This is a catalog of songs that I've worshipped to, recorded, written, auditioned with, performed, and grown through as an artist. Many are songs that have shaped my voice through seasons of change and transition. Some of them are songs that have ministered to me through times when I thought my voice didn't matter, or wasn't enough. All of them are songs that I enjoy singing, and that I hope will shed light on God's grace. I've learned from many of these songs that God is present through every season - no matter how dark or seemingly insignificant. A voice is more than the sound we make when we open our mouths - it is a part of who we are as we express the gifts and graces that our Creator God has poured into us for His glory and the good of all people. 1 Peter 4:11 and 2 Timothy 1:7 are the scriptures that are most meaningful as I've been considering the task of putting together this cabaret.”

Kylie Jo Smith, a Wichita, Kansas native, Kylie Jo is grateful to be part of the SS family! Kylie Jo began building a career of performing on stage & screen more than 20 years ago. She is also the co-host of the NixMyth Podcast, with her husband, Nick (NixMythPodcast.com).  When she and Nick are not homeschooling their two little ones & house-parenting twelve middle school girls, Kylie Jo travels to Nashville to record & perform music that is literally changing the lives of families in poverty all over the world.
