Joy Schaeffer

Joy Schaeffer (Nana, u/s Mae Tuck) a transplant from Texas is happy to be joining Servant Stage again with previous performances in PRODIGAL: A MUSICAL ALLEGORY, AMAZING GRACE, and RAGTIME, and she recently started helping music direct with their youth camps. Joy has been singing, acting, music directing and directing for over 30 years. Some favorite roles have been, NARNIA THE MUSICAL (White Witch), THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Maria), LITTLE WOMEN THE MUSICAL (Marmee), MARY POPPINS (Mrs. Banks), and TARZAN THE MUSICAL (Kala). Locally, she has done many scripture performances with Piercing Word. She recently played the Dowager Empress in ANASTASIA at Cavod, and was in Sight & Sound Films’ debut film "I Heard The Bells". Joy has had the privilege of sharing the stage many times over the years with her wonderful husband, James, and their four fantastic kids who love the theater too! You could say it has truly been a family affair, and she is always so grateful for all their encouragement & support.
