Joy Schaeffer

Joy Schaeffer (Marmee) is happy to be returning to Servant Stage with previous performances in PRODIGAL: A MUSICAL ALLEGORY, AMAZING GRACE, RAGTIME, and TUCK EVERLASTING. She also enjoys music directing for many of their kids/youth camp productions. While singing, acting, music directing and directing for over 30 years through church and community theatre, some favorite roles have been, Witch Witch (NARNIA THE MUSICAL), Maria (THE SOUND OF MUSIC), Marmee (LITTLE WOMEN), Mrs. Banks (MARY POPPINS), and Kala (TARZAN). Locally, she's done scripture performances with Piercing Word, and recently played the Dowager Empress in ANASTASIA at Cavod. You might even be able to spot her playing the piano in Sight & Sound's Film "I Heard The Bells". Joy has loved sharing the stage over the years with her wonderful husband, James, and their four fantastic kids who love the theater, too! You could say it has truly been a family affair, and she is always so grateful for all their encouragement & support.
