September 14 | VOICE with Olivia Kane
Class Description
This class will focus on singing as an ensemble! It's easy by tech week to have resorted to hanging on for dear life and simply "singing karaoke" as you try to remember the lyrics and choreography to an ensemble number. However the strength of an ensemble can make or break a production! In this class we will talk about the importance of musicality and technique as an ensemble, and how there is so much more to memorize, learn, and perform than simply correct lyrics, rhythms, and pitches. Be prepared to sing and move together!

Olivia Kane holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a minor in musical theater from Grove City College. Since then she has taught elementary music, directed middle and high school choirs, pit conducted and vocal directed community and school musicals, and performed in several shows herself. She also gives private voice and piano lessons! When she manages to find free time, you can catch her swing or ballroom dancing. Most recently you may have seen Olivia on stage at The Forum as Young Phyllis in a production of Follies in Concert, a collaboration between the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra and Theatre Harrisburg. Olivia, having thoroughly enjoyed assisting with vocals this summer for Peter Pan Jr., is quite excited to be getting more involved with Servant Stage!
