Class Description
Beginner/Intermediate Ballet Class: In our ballet class we will focus on developing our technique, moving with precision, and expressing ourselves through artistry. Class will include center-barre, center work, jumps and turns, and will finish by learning choreography from a theatrical story ballet. Ballet or jazz shoes are recommended. A basic knowledge of ballet is encouraged, but absolutely not required. All are welcome!
Intermediate Ballet Class: In our ballet class we will focus on developing our technique, moving with precision, and expressing ourselves through artistry. Class will include center-barre, center work, jumps and turns, and will finish by learning choreography from a theatrical story ballet. During this hour we will spend time learning choreography from Ballet Magnificat’s production “Deliver Us” featuring a dance set to the Motion Picture Soundtrack of “The Prince of Egypt”. Ballet or jazz shoes are recommended. A basic knowledge of ballet is encouraged, but absolutely not required. All are welcome!

meet Lillian
Lillian Ortiz is currently a professionally trained and PBT-certified ballet instructor and choreographer with Cavod Performing Arts. Originally hailing from Lancaster County PA, Lillian received Vagonova-based training under Marcia Dale Weary at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet before going on to fine-tune her skills through the Miami City Ballet School getting the opportunity to perform in numerous works by George Balanchine. As Lillian’s heart began to increase for ministry and worship dance she discovered Ballet Magnificat, a Christian ballet company based in Jackson, Mississippi which gave way to nine wonderful years of touring, ministering, performing, and teaching ballet with them all over the United States and world including the countries of Austria, Brazil, Germany, Honduras, Italy, and South Africa to name a few favorites. Today as a full-time ballet instructor at Cavod in New Holland and Manheim, with her strong integrity and passion for ballet, Lillian desires to preserve the timeless classic technique of the art form and inspire students with her knowledge and experience.
