Rachel Day Hughes
Rachel Day Hughes (Director) is thrilled to be directing You Can’t Take it With You for Servant Stage. She studied Theater Performance at Liberty University where she met her wonderful husband, Caleb. After graduation, she performed regionally in roles like Maria in The Sound of Music, Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music, and Belle in Beauty and the Beast, before beginning her 10 year career at Sight & Sound Theaters, where she has performed in shows like Noah, Joseph, Moses, Jesus, Esther, and more. She also teaches 3 courses for the Sight and Sound Conservatory. And In 2022, Rachel had the privilege of playing Fanny Longfellow in Sight and Sound Films’ I Heard the Bells, and her second film, The American Miracle, released in theaters in 2025. Most recently Rachel has been busy offering private Voice & Acting Coaching and Audition Prep Sessions. But directing this production of You Can’t Take it With You has absolutely been a highlight of her career. She wishes to thank her best friend and partner in every little thing: Caleb Hughes for holding down the fort this go round! And the incredible cast and crew for fully realizing the vision of this very unique, and delightful show. All the glory goes to God the Father who has rescued her and set her free in more ways than one!
