Joy Schaeffer

Joy Schaeffer (Mrs. Kirby, U/S Penny) is excited to join Servant Stage again, with previous performances in PRODIGAL: A MUSICAL ALLEGORY, AMAZING GRACE, RAGTIME, TUCK EVERLASTING and most recently as Marmee in their LITTLE WOMEN. Joy also enjoys music directing for Servant Stage Kids and Youth camps. While singing, acting, music directing, and directing for over 30 years through church and community theatre, some other favorite roles have been, The White Witch (NARNIA THE MUSICAL), Maria (THE SOUND OF MUSIC), Mrs. Banks (MARY POPPINS), Kala (TARZAN) and Dowager Empress (ANASTASIA). Locally, she's toured scripture performances with Piercing Word, and you can even spot her playing the piano in Sight & Sound's Film "I Heard The Bells". Joy is blessed with her wonderful husband, James, and their four fantastic kids who love the stage too, and she is so grateful for all their encouragement and support! She is especially cherishing her new favorite role as "JoyJoy" to her three precious grandbabies, Jovi, Nora, & Milo and the next little cutie to be born in May!
