Brittany Beitzel

Brittany Beitzel (Penny Sycamore) is delighted to be part of You Can’t Take It With You and to step into the wonderfully eccentric world of Penny Sycamore. Originally from Huntington, WV, Brittany has happily called Lancaster home for the past fourteen years. Local audiences may recognize her from the stage at Sight & Sound Theatres, where she has performed in productions including JONAH, NOAH, MOSES, SAMSON, MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS, JESUS, and QUEEN ESTHER. She has also been grateful to perform with Piercing Word, PRiMA Theatre, and to both perform and direct with Servant Stage Company. Brittany is passionate about arts education and storytelling. She currently teaches and directs at the Lancaster Academy of the Performing Arts, where she also leads her own vocal studio. Helping students discover their voices, confidence, and joy in the creative process is one of her greatest delights. She holds a degree in Musical Theatre and Psychology from Liberty University. Brittany sends all her love to her husband, Aaron, and to her sons, Dawson and Theo, who remind her daily that life is richest when it’s filled with the Lord,  love,  laughter, and a little beautiful chaos. Much like Penny Sycamore herself, Brittany believes that life isn’t meant to be sensible—it’s meant to be joyful. After all, you can’t take it with you… so you might as well paint, dance, write plays, and love people fiercely while you’re here.
