Shrek Jr.

On the campus of Lancaster County Christian School

August 5, 2023

Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek Jr. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

Performances take place at Lancaster County Christian School (2390 New Holland Pk, Lancaster, PA 17601).

Saturday, August 5 | 3pm & 7pm

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Will and all donations help support Servant Stage's YOUTH THEATRE program!

Meet the Directors

Joshua William Green (Director) is an Actor, singer and dancer originally from Youngstown, Ohio. He grew up dancing in the archangel dance theater and performed nationally and internationally in the Youngstown Connection as a teenager. He attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York and Youngstown State University for musical theater. Joshua has toured nationally in Ragtime (Booker T. Understudy) and Finding Neverland (Mr. Henshaw / Frohman Understudy). His favorite credit is singing behind Sam Smith on the 2018 Grammy Awards. Joshua has also been seen at Prima Theatre and Sight and Sound Theatres.

Jacqui Schaeffer (Assistant Director/Choreographer) made her stage debut 15 years ago as a 3 foot nothing Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka and has never looked back. She is originally from Texas, but made Lancaster her home to pursue a higher education in performance with the Sight and Sound Conservatory, during which she performed in their production of David. In addition to David, some of Jacqui’s favorite productions include Seussical the Musical (Mayzie), The One Story (Holy Spirit), and Tarzan (Dancer). She’s so excited to pour into young performers with Servant Stage this summer and give aspiring creatives the same level of artistic investment that her theatre mentors gave her.

Amberly Barker (Education Program Manager) is excited to be a part of bringing theatre education to the Lancaster area with Servant Stage. Originally from Berks County, she spent four years in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida earning a B.A. in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in musical theatre performance from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Since then she has spent the last nine years at Sight & Sound, a member of the stage management team for most of that time. She lives in Lititz with her husband, Mike, and their daughters, Marley and Delaney. She carves out time in her life for reading, hiking, showtunes, and sweet friendships. Zephaniah 3:17
